(01)  The shop which was owned by Ámon Henrik in Mosonszntjános, even today is a shop (this is info from the web, to be checked). It is called Major-Center, and it is a hardware/do-it-yourself shop. Address:  vasáru barkácsüzlet van, címe:  9241 Jánossomorja, Szabadság utca 22.

(02) Henrik was very fat for a time. He has fallen into the snow, and was not able to stand up. Everyone was looking for him. Finally the shop assistants helped him to climb out  from the snow.

(03) In the Second World War Henrik had a general leave permit from the military service (there is a related document), but for a certain time, for any reason, he had to go to the army. He got a serious cold, he had to cure himself in Pöstyén in the hot cure bath. As a result of this illness he has lost his sense of smell.

(04) Henrik divorced from the first wife because his first wife had a love affair with one of his shop assistants.

(05) In 1965 someone rang the bell at his son (Ámon László). She asked about Henrik’s tomb. Ámon László's wife gave her information. Later this woman sometimes occurred at the tomb, and she put flowers on the tomb. This lady might have been a daughter from Henrik’s first marriage, but her name never was known.

(06) In 1989 a man called Ámon László's wife(Klári) by phone. He saw in the church  a Wedding Invitation of Ámon László (born in 1959) and  Paksi Erzsébet. He told that his wife had a grandfather, who was called Ámon Henrik, who was born in Mosonszentjános. Klári invited him to come with his wife to see the old Ámon photo album. But he never showed up again. He also wanted to know if we knew any relatives from the village Neusiedl am See (Hungarian name was Nezsider). Klári new that his husband, as a child  visited other family members in Neusiedl am See. His home village Mosonszentjános was not far, and in winter they went by horse-pulled sleigh. The man in the phone told his name (but  Klári cannot remember now), but his address was very close to Klári :  in Medve utca (street). Later Klári visited all the houses there, but she could not find them.

(07)Henrik’s father, Ámon Pál was rich man, he was a merchant or shop keeper.  His two sons, Adolf and Henrik were also rich. Henrik wanted to find a wife through newspaper advertisement. He could find a girl, Kozmann Ella, whom he married. As an engagement gift he bought expensive, heavy and thick gold necklace and bracelet.

(08) In 1926 Henrik and his family moved to Budapest since they had lost most of their properties. Henrik was very naive and warm-hearted man, he made business with different people who cheated him. His wife was angry with him, and she told: “Henrik, you will be imprisoned one day, together with your business partners.” Henrik responded: “What do you think, Ella? Is my partner willing to go into the prison? Definitely not...” Ella answered: “He will not be imprisoned, because he is a tricky man. It is only you, who is always so naive.”

(09) Ámon László (Laci) (1915) could remember his grandmother Heiling Terézia. As a little boy Laci saw, when his grandmother stood up from her armchair and started to walk. He was surprised, shouting: “Jeee, sie hat Füsse !!!” – which means: “Oh, she has legs!”  Laci also can remember when she died and her body was laid out in the backyard. This means that she died in the 1920s years, so she had a long life.

(10) Ámon György (eldest son of Ámon László) - as he is the carrier of the name “Ámon” -  has two big  wall pictures in his bedroom about Ámon Pál (1841-?) and his wife, Heiling Terézia (1834-?). The quality of this big size pictures is excellent, amazing.

(11) Kritz Joannes (who was the great-grandmother of Ámon Henrik) had an interesting job. He was a special tax collectortor, but he did not obtain money from the people, he gathered flour. This was a usual way of tax paying in the Middle Ages.
