SINAI 1/3

                                         SHARM EL-SHEIK, DAHAB, NUWEIBA
Sinai is a region of awesome and incredible beauty, a great and terrible wilderness.
We could get there by crossing Suez Tunnel. We spent two nights in Dahab and visited
all these wonderful places what you can see here and on the next two pages.

Sharm El-Sheik is an elegant resort on the south point of Sinai Peninsula.

This was the first green grass seen in 10 days.

A nice sand beach...
and a threatening rock which is nearly going to fall down.

In a small street restaurant:
A typical, tasty Egyptian dinner.

Hotel Monica, Dahab.
A typical Egyptian breakfast: 'pancake' bread, scrambled egg, butter, jam, cheese, orange, and tea/coffee.

Coca Cola is everywhere!

It is very popular in Egypt.

A desert plant.

Police checkpoint on the road. (We were stopped about 20 times a day.)

A biblical desert scenario.

Camels are the best meals of transport.

Bay of Aqaba at town Nuweiba.
The ferry is going to Jordan.
The coast of Saudi Arabia is clearly visible.

The GPS was our best navigation tool.

This tree can grow even in the desert.

Wherever palm trees grow, water is definitely present.

We are drinking lemon juice, and guawa juice in a Beduin camp on the beach.

Camel siesta on the beach...
