GIZA          

The Pyramids of Giza are the sole survivors of the Seven Wonders of the World. 
Scientists still are debating how exactly they were built. What was the technology? 
How was the huge project managed? - It is hard to find a proper answer.

Pyramid Cheops (Khufu) was completed around 2570 BC. It is 146 m high. 2,3 million limestone blocks were used (average weigh of 2,5 tonnes each).

We did not want to ride a camel, but photo was a MUST...

Menkaure Pyramid is 
62 m high.

 

It was a special feeling to descend through the narrow passageway into the small chambers.

 

 

 

Pyramid Chefren is 
136 m high. Originally it had white limestone cover, which can be seen only at the peak.

 

A lot of the stones of this pyramid are missing, they were used to build palaces and mosques.
